| Starting in 2009, new inspection stickers were issued for 2011 expiration. The design changed - the month number went back to its pre-2002 square format, and the year numbers are bigger and they now flank the month number. The vehicle information is no longer printed anywhere on the sticker. |

| The inside (backside) of the stickers has changed as well. There is a brigtly colored border, with several "suggestions" for safer driving: Put the phone down. No hand-held phone use or texting. Seatbelts save lives. Buckle up. Wipers on? Lights on. Be courteous behind the wheel. Vehicle registrations can be renewed online at www.njmvc.gov.
