| The 1959/1977 Municipal plates have been difficult to track, because of the numerous varieties. MG-0000 was probably issued first, followed by MG-000A. Then MG-A000 and 000MG-A. Various remakes of earlier plates make it difficult to determine the exact order of issuance. |

| The 1979 base went back and re-issued the MG-0000 plates, and then continued where the 1977 base left off in the MG-000A series (somewhere bewteen MG-999G and MG-100M). By the early 80s, MG-999Z was reached, and a new series started at MG-10AA. |

| The 1992 graphic issue brought a new numbering pattern - 7 digits starting at MG10000. There are also re-issues (or remakes ?) of the earlier series. Some municipal plates have stickers - but it seems to be arbitrary. When stickers are used, plates are usually "valid" for 4 years. |
